Bubinga is a hard, decorative wood highly prized for its stability and striking appearance. With a density of 700–910 kg/m³, it turns well and allows for detailed carving, as long as sharp tools are used. Its reddish to brown color with purple or violet grain patterns and natural sheen make it a bold and elegant choice for visual projects.

Native to Africa and part of the Guibourtia spp genus, this wood is perfect for ornamental bowls, turned handles, decorative lids, or sculpted figures.
