Kingwood

Kingwood (Dalbergia cearensis) is one of the most distinctive species within the Dalbergia genus, valued in lutherie mainly for its visual character and high density. It is used for guitar backs and sides when a compact, fine-grained material with a strong aesthetic presence is required.

Visually, Kingwood ranges from violet and deep purple hues to dark browns, with fine, contrasting grain lines that create a clearly defined figure. Each piece shows its own variation, giving the instrument a distinctive appearance without the use of dyes or artificial treatments.
