Finished tops for steel string acoustic guitar, shape-cut and bookmatched. Sitka spruce and other species subject to availability, thicknessed to 2.8 mm and ready for bracing. The soundboard is the most decisive piece for tone: Sitka spruce for projection and attack, red cedar for warmth and fast response. No bracing — the luthier applies their chosen brace pattern.
