Brankowood® FSC 100% Black A Fingerboard 720x90x9 mm
The Brankowood® Black fingerboard is a sustainable, stable alternative to ebony, with a homogeneous, elegant look that reproduces its classic aesthetics. Made from FSC 100% certified Pinus radiata and stabilized with natural resins, it delivers a durable material that is moisture-resistant and very uniform in color.
Compatibility by size: the 720 x 90 x 9 mm format works as a blank for 4/5-string bass and is compatible with Bass VI (Fender/Squier and equivalents). A typical VI neck pocket is ≈56 mm; the 90 mm width provides ample heel margin and supports layouts up to 24 frets. The 9 mm thickness allows radiusing across a wide range (e.g., 7.25"–20"+, covering classic 7.25"/9.5" and modern 12"/16"/20" radii) with enough stock for setup and future leveling. For wide 6-string or demanding multiscale designs, consider 720 x 105 x 9 mm.
Moisture content is reduced to about ≈5% for excellent dimensional stability even under climate changes. Its balanced density provides a firm feel and clear response without excessive weight.
Thanks to the material’s homogeneity after stabilization, this stabilized fingerboard offers very friendly workability: it sands and finishes easily, reducing the risk of chipping or grain variation.
