Overview B Indian Rosewood Acoustic Guitar Sides:

Indian rosewood, scientifically known as dalbergia latifolia, is a highly sought-after hardwood known for its exceptional properties. Native to South Asia, this wood is of immense importance in luthiery.

The most notable property of Indian rosewood is its distinctive and beautiful grain. The wood has a rich reddish-brown color with darker streaks, giving it a pleasing visual appearance. It is also known for its ability to retain its vibrant color even after decades of use and exposure to sunlight.

In addition to its visual appeal, Indian rosewood possesses excellent acoustic qualities that make it highly prized in the musical instrument industry. Guitars, sitars and other stringed instruments made from Indian rosewood produce a warm, resonant sound. This wood is most commonly used in the mid-ranges of both classical and acustic guitars.

How is Indian Rosewood graded?

In B grade we'd find all the possible colors of the wide spectrum of rosewood. Including those greenish or pale shades that we will not find in higher grades.

These pieces usually present defects such as knots, mineral, some small holes. It is also possible to find pieces of very dark color and very uniform and dense grain but, because of the presence of any of the aforementioned flaws, cannot belong in higher grades.

These pieces also tend to have a lower density than the other categories, due to their more widely separated grain.

Features:

  • Dimensions: (825/860x125/140x4 mm)x2
  • Botanical Name: Dalbergia latifolia
  • Origin: India
  • Density: 870-900 Kg/m3

Todo genial

He comprado estos aros varias veces y siempre genial, de hecho, alguna vez han llegado piezas que yo (bajo criterio personal) habría calificado como 2ª/1ª
