Overview AA Curly Maple Archtop Guitar Backs:

Impossible not to be in awe of the beauty of a curly maple back for archtop guitars. Although plywood backs have been used on a good number of guitars shortly after its inception as an instrument, a solid back is still unbeatable. The reason is simple: maple is for all its qualities (physical, aesthetic, sonic) the best choice for multiple parts of the instrument.

Add to this the incredible look it has once varnished and you will understand why it is so successful. Emulate icons like Benedetto and D'Angelico by using this wood in your next archtop guitar. You can find in our Tops section the spruce top to complement this maple back.

In the AA grade backs you will find pieces with regular flaming, uniform and without blotches on a large part of their surface. These backs are often used in medium-high level instruments. In the end, it is the quality of the wood combined with the skill of the artisan what makes the difference.

grosse déception

grosse déception à la réception des pièces commandées. les défauts sont multiples. les deux pièces sont légèrement tuilées (Mais bon ça pouvait éventuellement se récupérer à la dégauchisseuse), mais surtout l'une présentait un éclat sur la base, certainement lié à la présence d'un nœud, l'autre pièce présentait un éclat de 2cm sur 2cm ainsi que deux ou trois fissures en travers du champs. après avoir demandé un retour photos à l'appui, ce dernier à été validé et j'ai été remboursé . Il est très décevant de recevoir des pièces d' aussi mauvaise qualité au regard de la présentation qui nous en est fait sur le site.
