Overview Tenor Drone Joints Ebony Bagpipe 320x37x37 mm:

In Maderas Barber we have available all the necessary sizes to build your Asturian or Galician bagpipe. Pieces of this dimension can be used to build any or the pieces that comprises the Tenor Drone Joints on such bagpipes.

Ebony is, together with blackwood, the most sought-after wood in the construction of woodwind instruments. Like the former, it has similar characteristics in terms of hardness, ease of turning and its timbral qualities, being somewhat less dense -and therefore lighter- and not as lustrous as blackwood. In any case, it is one of the favorite woods of woodwind instrument makers.

Features:

  • Dimensions: 320x37x37 mm
  • Botanical name: Diospyros crassiflora Hiern
  • Origin: Africa
  • Density: 1030-1050 Kg/m3
