In Maderas Barber we have available all the necessary sizes to build your Galician or Asturian bagpipe. Pieces of these dimensions can be used to build any of the Tenor Drone Joints on such bagpipes.

Santos rosewood is one of our favorite woods at Maderas Barber. It has an incredible beauty, with colors ranging from very dark brown to pale ochre, with a vanilla colored sapwood in some pieces. This, coupled with its extraordinary strength, bright sound and availability in a wide range of dimensions, makes it highly prized. As with all other woods for wind instruments, you will find the perfect physical properties for the job. Hardness, resistance to humidity, easy to work with, good luster, closed pore.... Undoubtedly one of the best selling woods in our catalog for shawm and bagpipes.
