Ebony Fingerboard 470/530x75x6 mm.

The fingerboard is one of the most defining parts of a guitarist’s experience. It’s the surface where the strings are pressed and where the fretting hand interacts with the instrument. A good fingerboard wood should feel comfortable, resist wear, and allow precise playing, no matter the musical style.

In addition to its practical function, it also affects tone: denser woods tend to provide more attack and definition, while more porous ones can slightly mellow the sound. That’s why choosing the right fingerboard is both a tonal and tactile decision. Visually, it can also add character to the instrument, from striking grain patterns to clean, uniform surfaces.

Guitar fingerboards are always cut with the grain running lengthwise—never across—since they must help the neck support string tension and therefore require the stability provided by a longitudinal cut.

These fingerboards have both sides already sanded.
