Overview A Mountain Cocobolo Classical Guitar Sides

Cocobolo is a very hard wood native to Central and South America. This variety, called Mountain Cocobolo, has a less orange color range than the common variety, with warm tones ranging from light brown to very dark brown, and all shades in between. Distinct veins that form beautiful patterns are also common. Some pieces even have violet tones, and the use of pieces with part of the sapwood in a beautiful vanilla color is also common in luthiery. Some pieces are even visually reminiscent of the coveted Brazilian Rosewood. Few woods are as beautiful as Cocobolo, which only needs to be glued with care due to the high presence of natural oils.
