  • Black Limba Carved Top for Electric Guitar and Bass is a very good option for those who want to beautify their Guitar Body with a medium thickness (16 mm), perfect to carve and shape the Guitar Body Top and thus recreate the great Carved Tops designs. On the other hand, it allows an easier carving than the thicker ones, reducing the weight of the instrument and of course spending less money, having at the end a great guitar.
     

    Black Limba is a wood with a cream white slightly pearly color that gets darker when the wood is exposed to the light. It can present yellowish areas covered with blackish streaks. Growth rings are frequently visible. The fiber can be straight or slightly intertwined. It has a straight and closed grain that is occasionally intertwined or wavy with a uniform but thick texture. It produces a beautiful, warm and rich tone, similar to Mahogany, but with just one more touch of resonance. The fine brown and black stripes make it much more attractive than Mahogany.
