Growth rings are frequently visible. The fiber can be straight or slightly intertwined. It has a straight and closed grain that is occasionally intertwined or wavy with a uniform but thick texture. It produces a beautiful, warm and rich tone, similar to Mahogany, but with just one more touch of resonance. The fine brown and black stripes make it much more attractive than Mahogany.
