The Vega-Trem VT1 Special Standard Black is a modern tremolo for Strat-style guitars that use a traditional six-screw vibrato bridge. It shares the compact VT1 Special design with a brass block and a durable black anodised finish, and is conceived as a direct upgrade for high-end instruments as well as for enhancing mid-range guitars without routing or drilling.

Lighter string gauges such as 009–042 or 010–046 usually work well with low or medium tension springs. Heavier gauges may require firmer springs to keep the bridge balanced and stable.

Adjust the spring claw to balance spring and string tension so that the bridge sits close to the top and returns consistently to pitch. Then fine-tune action and saddle height to match the player’s preference.
How can I maximise tuning stability?
