Overview Nitorlack® Ocean Turquoise Metallic Nitrocellulose Lacquer Spray The name Ocean Turquoise Metallic was first used by Ford on the Mustang in 1962. Fender later adopted it in the 1960s for the Telecaster , Stratocaster , and Jaguar models.
This blue-green metallic finish naturally shifts towards a greener hue over time due to the yellowing of aging nitrocellulose.
Often paired with tortoise pickguards and rosewood fretboards , it is a striking and characterful color.

<p>If you are looking for a <strong>durable, heat and water resistant, fast drying gloss lacquer</strong>, Melamine Lacquer is what you need.<br /><br />Based on cellulose technology, Melamine Lacquer has a catalyst suspended inside; when the lacquer is in the can it is inert, but once applied and exposed to air, the lacquer dries within five minutes like a cellulose and then the catalyst kicks in and the lacquer begins to cure chemically to provide a longer lasting coating. Ninety percent of the curing process takes place in the first seven days after application, making the lacquer very durable. The remaining 10% of the process can take up to two weeks longer to reach maximum hardness, something to consider if the varnish is going to be subjected to extremely hard use.<br /><br />Melamine lacquer is designed to give a full gloss finish which will be achieved with very careful application. <strong>It can be applied by brush (foam or bristle), cloth or spray.
