Overview Nitorlack® Olive Drab Nitrocellulose Lacquer 0.5l. The Gibson Olive Drab color became popular thanks to the Gibson ES-335 of Soundgarden founder Chris Cornell , who passed away in 2017.
The name Olive Drab refers to its brownish-green appearance. Gibson used this color on some SG models in the mid-60s and reintroduced it in 2013 for the exclusive and highly limited Chris Cornell ES-335 Signature .
Today, Gibson , Epiphone , and Fender frequently use Olive Drab on both standard level guitars and Custom Shop editions .
