This wood has been naturally dried for over 30 years, a process that significantly enhances its dimensional and structural stability and its acoustic properties. The slow and even moisture loss minimizes the risk of warping and ensures a richer, clearer, and more balanced sound response. Its structure becomes lighter and more resonant, promoting a brilliant, warm tone with greater projection. Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) is highly valued for producing a warm, rich sound full of nuances.
