General description of the Sassafras Unfinished Electric Bass Body Precision Style MB Exclusive:
The Sassafras Unfinished Electric Bass Body Precision Style MB Exclusive is made in Spain and it is a faithful recreation of the legendary Fender™ Precision™ model. This body has been pre-routed with the usual split coil pickup configuration and is designed to use a 5-screw bridge.
The body of this bass has all the necessary routings for the electronics and hardware. The holes for the neck and bridge screws have already been drilled.
Finished with 120 grit sandpaper. The body has been sanded to remove the most obvious marks from the cutting and routing process, but it will always be necessary to sand with finer grit sandpaper before any finishing.
There is currently a shortage of Swamp Ash, one of the most commonly used woods for building electric guitars. Sassafras is the best alternative to ash because of its abundance and because its attributes and appearance are very similar. Tonally they have slight differences: sassafras sounds deeper, with more bass and midrange range, but with the same punch that characterises Swamp Ash.
Because each piece of wood is unique, you may receive a body whose appearance differs from the one shown in the photo, be it in color, tone, grain distribution, etc.To help you, Maderas Barber offers a Photo Purchase service that will allow you to choose exactly the piece you want.
