The central section of the oboe is formed by two pieces: upper joint and lower joint. These two pieces accommodate all the keys and hardware.
Cocobolo, one of the most spectacular woods in our extensive catalog, is also a reference wood for woodwind instrument makers. The reasons are multiple: its hardness, brightness, spectacular finish without the need for excessive sanding or oiling... in addition to the sound, highly valued by the builders. As if this were not enough, add to this its amazing appearance, with a multitude of tones ranging from a vivid orange to a deep purple, often mixed in the same piece with amazing results.
