Mexican Granadillo is a dense, resonant wood with a deep and rich appearance. With a density of 800–1000 kg/m³, it features a reddish-brown tone often streaked with black and a fine texture that takes a very smooth finish. Demanding but rewarding, it offers lasting results.

Native to Central America and botanically known as Platymiscium yucatanum, it is frequently used for musical instruments and precision decor pieces, fine carvings, turned bowls, or crafted handles.
