Description of the Lining Violin/Viola European Spruce

An essential element in strengthening the structure of a violin, these inner reinforcements of the sides are made of European spruce. These thin strips placed along the inside of the sides ensure a firm connection between the ribs, top and back of the violin, providing stability and preventing deformation over time.

European spruce is ideal for this function because of its lightness, strength, and ability to withstand tension without compromising acoustics. Because they are flexible, these counter hoops facilitate the installation process, providing a precise fit and reducing labor time. In addition, their excellent acoustic capacity allows vibrations to be effectively transmitted through the body of the violin, improving the instrument's resonance and tonal quality.

Characteristics

  • Dimensions: 450x8x3 mm
  • Botanical name: Picea abies
  • Origin: Europe
  • Density: 440-470 kg/m3
