This is an alloy composed of zinc, copper and nickel that has the ideal balance between hardness, abrasion resistance and ductility. Different formulations can be found with a zinc content ranging from 12% to 18%. The higher this percentage, the greater the hardness of the fret. In recent years, frets made of other materials such as <strong>bronze</strong> or <strong>stainless steel</strong> have appeared, offering new possibilities.
