La aleación phosphor bronze de la que están hechas es la responsable de respetar al máximo el sonido propio de la guitarra, sin añadirle demasiados graves ni brillo. Puedes encontrar cuatro grosores diferentes para que elijas el que más se ajuste a tu forma de tocar. ¿Acostumbrado al tacto de la eléctrica? Elige uno de los calibres Light o Extra Ligth y la transición será más fácil. Si estás acostumbrado al tacto más firme necesario para el flatpicking , no te equivocarás eligiendo un grosor como el Medium o Medium Light. Phosphor bronze... ¿Qué significa? Nada complicado, ahora verás. Solo habla de la aleación de la que están hechas las cuerdas. En este caso, un 92% de cobre junto con otras pequeñas cantidades de zinc y fósforo. Desarrolladas en los años 70 del siglo pasado, tienen una mayor vida útil que aquellas de aleacion 80/20, asi como un sonido más natural y mayor resistencia a la corrosión por el sudor.

<p>Elegir el traste más adecuado es una decisión fundamental a la hora de <strong>construir</strong> o <strong>reparar</strong> una guitarra, sin duda. Los criterios básicos a la hora de elegir un traste deben tener en cuenta su forma (en la parte que asoma del diapasón, o corona) y el material del que estén hechos. El ancho y alto de la corona del traste tienen una influencia decisiva en la sensación del intérprete al tocar. Por supuesto, cada persona tiene sus propias preferencias pero podemos enumerar una serie de características que son innegables. Cuanto más bajos los trastes, más cómoda es la sensación al hacer acordes. Esto se debe a que hay que realizar menos esfuerzo para apretar las cuerdas. Es común encontrar este tipo de trastes en <strong>guitarras vintage</strong>. Inversamente, los trastes altos ayudan a la hora de ejecutar técnicas como los bendings y tienen una vida útil más larga, pues hay más material para efectuar sucesivos rectificados de trastes. .
