L'ébène est un bois très prisé, couramment utilisé pour les têtes de guitares. Il est connu pour sa dureté exceptionnelle, sa durabilité et sa texture lisse , ce qui en fait un choix idéal pour les constructeurs de guitares. L'ébène a une structure de grain dense, et de plus, la couleur sombre et riche de l'ébène ajoute un attrait esthétique à l'instrument, lui donnant un aspect sophistiqué et élégant.
En général, l'ébène est très appréciée dans l'industrie de la guitare pour sa résistance, ses qualités sonores et son attrait visuel, faisant de ce bois l'option idéale pour les têtes de guitares.
Classification de l'ébène :
Dans les pièces d'ébène de la catégorie Spéciale , on trouvera des pièces de couleur foncée, avec un grain droit qui ne présente pas de variations dans sa direction ou de torsions la plupart du temps. Dans les rares cas où elles présentent des défauts tels que des nœuds ou des décolorations, ceux-ci seront toujours minimes et presque imperceptibles, ou bien ils se situeront à l'extérieur de la pièce finie.
