Overview Nitorlack® Desert Sand Nitrocellulose Lacquer Spray The Desert Sand color is a very light, low-saturation reddish-yellow shade, reminiscent of sand. It can also be described as a deep beige.
General Motors first used this color on early Cadillac models as a paint option.
Fender introduced it in the late 1950s, primarily on the Musicmaster and Duo-Sonic models, as well as on some Lap Steel guitars from that era.
